Ooh Rah Rah

|
|||
The war really wore me down over time.
Theres a whole lot of holes in the memory drive.
Say, well I’ll do what you do if she does what we do
We’re all strung out by the whites of your eyes.
It don’t mean a thing to me, like “ooh rah rah rah”
Who can even say what it means, “ohh rah rah rah”
Ooh rah rah rah
The war really wore me down over time.
Yeah there’s a whole lot of a space in the fog of your mind.
Yea there’s a whole lot of noise just wandering by,
And theres a whole bunch of reasons to cover your eyes.
It don’t mean a thing to me, like “ooh rah rah rah”
Who can even say what it means, “ohh rah rah rah”
Ooh rah rah rah
Just when I think it’s over I get a phone call from the king.
He says “your time’s run out” and that he’s coming for me.
He said “well I know what you did, and I know who she is”.
And we’re all strung out by the whites of your eyes.
It don’t mean a thing to me, like “ooh rah rah rah”
Who can even say what it means, “ohh rah rah rah”
Ooh rah rah rah
It don’t mean a thing to me, like “ooh rah rah rah”
Who can even say what it means, “ohh rah rah rah”
Ooh rah rah rah

Old Bag of Grass
02:39
|
|||
Im just an old bag of grass, nobody wants me.
Every person I pass, keeps their eyes focused forward as they scamper by me real fast.
Oh lord, won’t you save me? Won’t you keep me when I crumble up and get swept in the trash?
Don’t you know ive been rehearsing? Ive been keeping myself clean.
Just because you feel broken, doesn’t mean there aren’t places to sail.
Just because you feel groovy, doesn’t mean you won't find brand new ways to fail.
Im just an old bag of grass, nobody wants me
I pour myself a tall glass, and I wait for the morning to shine some sunlight on my back.
Yeah well nobody’s perfect, sometimes it’s just worth it, some days it’s just all that you have
Yeah well nobody’s perfect, especially me
Just because you feel broken, doesn’t mean there aren’t places to sail
Just because you feel groovy, doesn’t mean you find brand new ways to fail

Neon Sign

|

I love the neon sign, yeah it brightens up my lonely life
When you're standing underneath its light, it keeps you warm and dries your eyes.
And it burns throughout every night, and it gives me somewhere to go.
Somewhere where i can pass the time, somewhere where I can feel satisfied...
I adore the city shine, it gives me hope and makes me smile.
When I feel like I'm on the ropes, the people there keep me company.
And as sure as the sun will rise, yeah well i seek out their company.
And if things get a bit out of line yeah well keep in mind, we'll make it right....
